Executive council

Robert Singer

President and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Robert is a leader of Jewish organizations, who has previously held key positions in the Prime Minister’s Office. In his last role, he served as CEO of the World Jewish Congress for six years, during which he led a comprehensive and broad organizational restructuring process. Robert previously filled the position of CEO of World ORT, one of the largest non-governmental educational institutions in the world, for a period of 13 years.

Sonia Gomes de Mesquita

Deputy Director of the Board and the Donor Family’s Representative.

Between 2013 and 2019, Sonia served as Chief Program Officer at the World Jewish Congress, and within her role, she led a wide range of innovative programs, primarily focusing on the future generation. Sonia has accumulated more than 20 years of experience and success in leading third-sector and public sector organizations. She previously served as the Acting CEO and Chief Operating Officer of World ORT.

Aviezer Segal

Director.

Aviezer is the CEO of World ORT Kadima Mada and a senior Ministry of Defense adviser on assistance in security matters to the CIS (former USSR) and Africa. He previously served at the Prime Minister’s Office as a regional manager, and during his 25-year career in the Israel Defense Forces (rank: Colonel), he filled various senior positions. Aviezer has earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the School of Political Science at the University of Haifa.

Shimon Rupa

Member of the Executive Council.

Until his retirement, Shimon filled the position of Head of the Material Resources Division of “Nativ” Liaison Bureau at the Prime Minister’s Office. Previously, and during his 25-year military career, he filled a variety of positions as a commander, ultimately reaching the rank of Lt. Col. Shimon holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Tel-Aviv University.

Moti Dotan

Member of the Executive Council.

Between 2001 and 2018, Moti headed the Lower Galilee Regional Council, with a population of some 14,000, including about 350 employees. Previously, he managed a department at Tnuva. Also, from 2012 he has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of World ORT Kadima Mada (the executive arm of World ORT in Israel). Moti has completed certification studies in Business Administration and Agricultural Economics from Ruppin Academic Center.
